Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix showed a flair in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her talent for sprinting when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt and placing within the top two places at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. In 2003 Felix completed her high school graduation having signed a professional contract with the athletics company Adidas before enrolling in the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. She broke a Junior World Record by running 200 metres in 22.18 second. She was the youngest winner of the 200-meter race at the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005. She defended her title time and time again in 2007 defeating time-tested Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was a frequent competitor at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She consistently placed within the top three places of the events.
